Other points to talk about the new MT15 are the suspensions and the chassis. The global model of the MT15 has USD forks.  On the counterpart in India, it gets those conventional telescopic front suspension. Another cost-cutting happening with the India-spec version is the swing arm design. The global version gets sturdy aluminium swing arm but the India-spec MT-15 gets simpler rectangular tube type swing arm with screw type adjustment for the sprocket inside the tube. However, as observed in the Yamaha R15 V3, the combination of perimeter frame and linked type mono shock will make it a great handler. Though we must mention the weight is 288kg.

Yamaha will place the new MT15 between the FZ/FZ-S and FZ-25 in its naked motorcycle portfolio. Yamaha MT-15 will directly compete with the Bajaj Pulsar NS200 ABS and TVS Apache RTR 2004V ABS and their prices are INR 1.12 lakh and INR 1.11 lakh respectively. It is to see now, how competitive Yamaha prices its upcoming naked motorcycle MT15.
