Finally, Hyundai AH2 receives its global reveal and now named as Santro. New Santro bookings are open now and the official launch date is October 23(Now Launched). The Hyundai Santro is going to set the benchmark in the entry-level B1 segment hatchbacks.
The engine in the new Hyundai Santro is a 1.1L four-cylinder petrol engine. This engine produces 69 PS of power at 5500 rpm and 99 Nm of torque at 4500 rpm. This petrol engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and an AMT. New Santro CNG is also available from the factory. The power figures for CNG fuel will be 59 PS and 84.3 Nm of torque. Hyundai Santro mileage as per claim is 20.3 km/l in petrol and 30.5 km/kg in CNG.
Hyundai Santro Features:
The new Hyundai Santro gets the features from its elder siblings such as Hyundai Verna. Most noteworthy, the new Santro is the introduction of rear AC vent which is unseen and many compact sedans also miss it. In contrast to basic music players in the competitors, the new Santro gets a class first 7-inch infotainment system which supports Android Auto and Apple Car Play.
On the safety front, the new Santro get ABS with EBD and dual front airbags as standard. What it also gets as standard is rear parking sensors. Higher spec variants also get reverse parking camera. The new Hyundai Santro complies with Bharat New Vehicle Safety Assessment Program (BNVSAP).
This segment is not in the list of manufacturers to offer maximum safety and gizmos. In contrast, Hyundai has changed the way how this segment sounded before with the launch of the new Santro and offering features from two segments above.
Hyundai Santro Price:
New Hyundai Santro price will start from Rs. 3.6 lakhs. With the tall boy design, this car offers easy ingress and egress and the compact design makes it a perfect for city usage although Hyundai India has done testing of it all over India.
