These are some popular cars like VW Polo, Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza, Ford Aspire and Maruti Swift etc. All these cars scored between 2 to 4 stars. The Secretary-General of the Global NCAP stated that the car manufacturers in India have made noteworthy progress in crash safety.
The 5-Star Safety Rating Car that is coming up will host all the safety features including ESC ( Electronic Stability Control). Also, it will meet pedestrian safety norms. The latest batch of cars is on test in Germany. It is possible that 5-Star Safety Rating Car can be amongst them.
Above all, the Global NCAP announced ‘Safer Choice” award to motivate the car manufacturers in the auto expo 2018. To qualify the award, a car needs to pass the Global NCAP crash test with a 5-star rating for adult occupant safety and 4-star ratings for child occupant safety.
